Call to Worship - Ginny Ellis

When we call on the Lord, God will answer.

God will be with us in trouble to rescue and honor us.

Let us make the Lord our refuge, the Most High our dwelling place.

Let us worship God.

Call to Reconciliation - Rev. Megan McMillan

The Lord is a refuge and fortress for us, protecting us from evil. Trusting in God’s mercy, let us confess our sin.

Unison Prayer of Forgiveness - Megan McMillan

We confess to you, O God, that we have been tempted by evil and have succumbed to sin. You nourish us with your eternal word, but we hunger for bread that perishes. You call us to worship you alone, but we seek to serve worldly powers. You offer us salvation, but we gamble with the gift of life. Forgive us, God of grace. Guide us by your Word and guard us with your Spirit, so that we may live in faith and follow you faithfully, through Jesus Christ our Savior. Silence is kept. Amen.

Assurance of Forgiveness - Megan McMillan

Hear the promise of the Lord: When you call on me, I will answer; I will satisfy you with life and show you my saving love. This is the Good News of God’s reconciling love: In the name of Jesus Christ, we are forgiven, freed and made whole! Thanks be to God.

Passing of the Peace: May mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance. The peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you / And also with you

Invitation

Great Prayer of Thanksgiving

The Lord be with you. And also with you.

Lift up your hearts. We lift them to the Lord.

Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. It is right to give our thanks and praise.

…as we join the unending hymn.

Hymn 552

Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.

God of Mercy…. for us the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Great is the mystery of Faith:

Christ has died. Christ has risen. Christ will come again.

Faithful God…. Amen.

Now, Gracious God, with the confidence of beloved Children, we are bold to pray:

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done. On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation. But deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

The Words of Institution

The Communion of the People

Mighty God, we thank you for gathering us at your table and feeding us with the bread of life. As we now leave this table to go to the many places where you send us, send your Spirit with us, that we may share in your magnificent work: lifting up those who are laid low, showing mercy to all in need of human kindness, and feeding the bodies and hearts of all who are hungry, in the name of one who comes; even Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
