Welcome & Announcements (for complete list, please see below) - Rev. Robert Galloway

Introit: excerpt from “Fly Away Home,” arr. Mary McDonald (b. 1956) - Chancel Choir

Some glad mornin’ when this life is o’er

I’ll fly away to a home on God’s celestial shore, I’ll fly away!

O Lord, you know I have no friend like you; if heaven’s not my home then, Lord, what will I do?

The angels beckon me from heaven’s open door and I can’t feel at home in this world anymore.

In the sweet by and by, we shall meet on that beautiful shore!

Call to Worship - Robert Galloway

Sing to the Lord a song of praise,

For God’s love resounds through every generation.

Let all creation rejoice in the goodness of God,

For the Holy One delights in God’s people.

In God’s kingdom, the poor are lifted up and the hungry are filled.

The saints of God bear witness to God's promises.

Come, let us join the choir of heaven and give glory to God.

Come, let us worship God.

*Processional Hymn #732: "Rejoice in God's Saints" OLD 104TH

Call to Confession - Jamie Brownlee

Prayer of Confession (unison) - Jamie Brownlee

Holy God, you have called us beloved, but we seek lesser titles. You show us your kingdom where the poor are lifted and the hungry are fed, but we cling to our comfort and overlook our neighbors. You call us to love our enemies, but we struggle to love even ourselves. Forgive us, O God. Renew our hearts so that we might live as saints of your grace—not perfect, but faithful in love.

Assurance of Pardon - Jamie Brownlee

…Friends, believe the Good News: In Jesus Christ we are forgiven.

Passing the Peace - Jamie Brownlee

…The peace of Christ be with you. And also with you.

*Response #240: "Alleluia, Alleluia! Give Thanks" (refrain only) ALLELUIA NO. 1

Alleluia, alleluia! Give thanks to the risen Lord. Alleluia, alleluia! Give praise to his name.

*Hymn #825: "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot" SWING LOW

*Affirmation of Faith: Apostles’ Creed (unison) - Susan Schlecht

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.

Presentation of Our Gifts - Susan Schlecht

The Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper - Robert Galloway

Invitation to the Table

Great Prayer of Thanksgiving

The Lord be with you. And also with you.

Lift up your hearts. We lift them to the Lord.

Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. It is right to give our thanks and praise.

… with all the faithful of every time and place, who forever sing to the glory of your name:

Hymn 552: “Holy, Holy, Holy” LAND OF REST

Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.  Hosanna in the highest.

…Great is the mystery of faith: Christ has died. Christ has risen. Christ will come again.

…We pray all these things as our Savior taught us, using the words:

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done. On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation. But deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

The Words of Institution

The Communion of the People

Unison Prayer after Communion

God of grace, you renew us at your table with the bread of life. You nourish us with your unending love. May this gift of grace strengthen us in faith, deepen our love for one another, and empower us to serve you with joy and compassion. Guide us to live as Christ’s disciples in the world. Fill us with your Spirit so that we may be witnesses to your love in all we do. Amen.

*Closing Hymn #326: "For All the Saints" SINE NOMINE
