JOIN US FOR A LENTEN STUDY 2023: SAILBOAT CHURCH
BY JOAN S. GRAY
Is our church a rowboat church or a sailboat church? According to author Joan Gray, rowboat churches depend largely on human effort. When church budgets shrink and membership declines, rowboat churches frantically row harder against a current, often frustrated and disappointed at their efforts. Sailboat churches, on the other hand, take up the oars, hoist sails, and rely on the Holy Spirit to guide them. Joan S. Gray encourages readers and churches to shift from fear and concern to fresh ideas that can be found using the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

FORTY DAYS OF PRAYER
For a church to learn sail, we need to be willing to consider what it would be to become sailors. Beginning February 22nd, we invite you to join us in using the guide to Forty Days of Prayer found at the end of Gray's book. We will also be posting this prayer practice daily through Lent. Where will the Holy Spirit take us in this thoughtful study? How can you be part of this study?
