Welcome & Announcements (for complete list, please see below) - Rev. Robert Galloway

Call to Worship - Robert Galloway

Come, you who are God’s beloved, to this place of welcome and worship.
In Christ, we are no longer strangers, but siblings.
Come with your questions, your burdens, and your longing.
The one who calmed the storm and set the captive free is here.
In this place, there is no longer Jew or Greek, no longer slave or free.
In this place, we are clothed with Christ and called children of God.
Let us lay aside fear and division,
And let us worship the God who heals, restores, and unites us in love.

*Processional Hymn #4: “Holy God, We Praise Your Name” GROSSER GOTT, WIR LOBEN DICH

Call to Confession - Peter Armacost

Prayer of Confession - Peter Armacost

Holy and gracious God, we come to you as people who are fractured and divided. We name you as Lord, but we live as though we belong to ourselves. We exclude others when you include all. We judge our neighbor while you show endless mercy. We forget the ways you forgive as we condemn those around us. Forgive us, O Lord. Restore in us the image of Christ and refresh your Spirit within us. Remove our sin, so that we may live as your beloved children.

Assurance of Pardon - Peter Armacost

…Friends, believe the good news: In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven!

Passing the Peace - Peter Armacost

…The peace of Christ be with you. And also with you.

*Response #582: “Glory to God Whose Goodness Shines on Me” (v. 1) GLORY TO GOD

Glory to God, whose goodness shines on me, and to the Son, whose grace has pardoned me, and to the Spirit, whose love has set me free. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be. Amen.

Time for Young Disciples - Robert Galloway

Prayer for Illumination - Mary-Linda Armacost

*Hymn #136: “Go, Tell It on the Mountain” GO TELL IT

*Affirmation of Faith: Apostles’ Creed (unison) - Mary-Linda Armacost

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.

Presentation of our Gifts – Invitation - Mary-Linda Armacost

Doxology OLD HUNDREDTH

Prayer of Dedication - Robert Galloway

Please join me in a unison Prayer of Dedication:

God of unity and compassion, bless these offerings and our very lives, that they may serve your reconciling work in the world. Where there is division, sow peace. Where there is need, send us. Take these gifts and use them for your glory, that the good news may be proclaimed to those still waiting for healing and hope. Use us to reflect the boundless grace we have received in Christ. Amen.

Prayers of the People and the Lord’s Prayer - Robert Galloway

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done. On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation. But deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

*Closing Hymn #318: “In Christ There Is No East or West” ST. PETER
